Life with kids - Part One

We all know that life with kids is...well..........interesting. Aria happens to be one of those kids that make it all the more 'fun'.

A lot of you know that just a few months ago we bought our first house - hooray! Well, in our neighborhood the window sales people are out in force. These houses were built in the 1950's and for us, that's when our windows were installed. So, yes, we really do need windows, we're just not getting them now. Anyways, the doorbell rings, Valdemar answers, another window man. He goes outside to convince the salesman that yes, the windows are indeed old, yes they are not energy efficient, but no, we aren't going to buy your billion dollar windows, we're poor - get it. Do you see a Cadillac, maybe a Mercedes in our driveway? No, it is a 6 year old Chevy. The salesman is not put off - did you know that we could pay for these windows just with the money we will save on our utilities? These are top of the line, quality windows, solid, durable, much more likely to hold up if your kid throws a baseball at them, or perhaps tries to jump through one! Valdemar tells the salesman - 'I really don't think that's going to happen' chuckle, chuckle. The salesman points to our rather large front window - and there is Aria in the window, not just looking out the window, but standing on the window sill itself. Smiling and waving like Miss America in a pageant.

We still didn't buy the windows.
